Compiere Highlights Partner Achievements, Outlines Framework for Company and Product Direction for 2007

Attendees at annual partner conference include 25 partner companies representing 16 countries across five continents

Santa Clara, California – Nov. 6, 2006 – Compiere, Inc., the premier provider of open-source business applications, hosted its second annual global partner conference last week in Santa Clara, Calif. with a roadmap for partners to achieve greater value in providing consulting, implementation and customization services to Compiere end users. This year, Compiere has added 36 new partners to its growing partner network of companies that provide support services for Compiere ERP & CRM, the leading open-source business automation software for enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM). Sessions delivered information on how to optimize technology resources and capitalize on enhancements made to Compiere ERP & CRM along with effectively preparing and planning for business activities moving into 2007.

Demonstrating the company's dedication to the success of its partners, Compiere's annual global partner conference provided a forum for the company's nearly 100 partners worldwide to gather, share common business challenges, learn from industry peers and participate in information sessions. The conference served to create and support a robust partner community, facilitating information sharing and education among Compiere's global partner base. Presentations during the course of the conference included business and solution-focused sessions, roundtable discussions on the open-source landscape and refresher product training courses.

"Compiere has created a tightly-woven global network of partners that gather to discuss mutual challenges experienced in the market and work together to overcome these issues," said Remus Cazacu, CEO of BIT Software, a Compiere partner company. "The company's annual partner conference demonstrates the commitment of Compiere and its partner community to the ongoing pursuit of developing a superior open-source product that accurately reflects the changing business needs of end-user companies."

Compiere offers a unique business model in that it does not compete with its partner network through direct sales, but instead fully supports partners by providing development and back-office assistance, detailed up-to-date information and proactive updates and alerts for its product. The company is committed to distributing its Compiere ERP & CRM product via partners, creating no channel conflicts.

Jorg Janke, founder and CEO of Compiere, said, "The incredible successes our partners have experienced over the past year validate Compiere's tremendous growth and product direction as we maintain our goal of delivering the most sophisticated open-source software solution for users across the globe. Compiere partners are not just a distribution channel, but also an essential part of the Compiere ecosystem."
